When Open Book launched in the autumn of 2007, we produced a video series, Words With, with Matt Austin as our gifted director.

Words With profiles a group of fascinating and immensely talented Canadians, asking their opinion on the public profile of our country's culture and art, with a particular focus on Canadian books.

We love this series and we're going to re-post and revisit the Words With series over the coming months. We recently re-featured Caitlin Cronenberg, Jake Gold, Jian Ghomeshi, Nicholas Campbell, RM Vaughan, Jennifer Podemski, Jonas Chernick, Justin Zaza, Shauna MacDonald, Sean Cullen, Cara Pifko and Leah McLaren, and now, here is our interview with with Jeff Stober.

Originally hailing from Montreal, Jeff Stober has always been into the arts & culture scene and 'giving back'. He is the owner of the Drake Hotel on Queen West and a tireless supporter of unknown artists.
